A woman was injured in a motor vehicle accident on Bay Farm Road in St Andrew last night after the Toyota Hiace minibus in which she was a passenger crashed into a yard following a collision with a Subaru motor car.
The accident occurred about 8:30 p.m.
It is reported that the Toyota Hiace minibus was proceeding from Waltham Park Road on to to Bay Farm Road when a white Subaru motor car that was travelling in the same direction attempted to overtake it.
THE STAR understands that the Subaru motor car collided into the minibus which then crashed into a parked vehicle that was inside a yard. The woman was injured during the collision.
The driver of the Subaru motor car reportedly fled the scene.
"When him crash, di Subaru driver who look like him is a teenager hold him head and said Lawd God mi faada a go kill me," a resident told THE STAR.
The female passenger who was travelling in the Toyota Hiace bus was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital.
However, THE STAR understands that she was not seriously injured.
There were no other reported injuries.
The Olympic Gardens police are investigating.
